Your baby deserves the best toys. There are so many to choose from. How do you know which are the top toys? Kids toys that help your child to learn and keep them busy as well are easily what you want in any item. Unfortunately, it isn't a matter of choosing a specific toy company. While some toy companies have set goals to meet certain educational specifications when designing their toys, the brand name doesn't always make the best toys. When choosing toys for your baby, consider the different features you need to look for. There are distinctions that set the best baby toys apart from the others. These are easily categorized based on the senses that the child uses to learn from. You need to consider the visual appeal, the physical appeal, and the auditory appeal.

Visual Appeal: There is probably nothing more stimulating in terms of the best baby toys than the ones that provide the most visual attractiveness. Happy innocent faces and a bright variety of colors are two of the features that are implemented in well-made learning toys. Colors alone are significant. Different colors can provoke different feelings. For example, red has been shown to stimulate the adrenal glands, which helps with strength and stamina. Pink helps relax the muscles. Orange has positive influences on the emotional state. Yellow stimulates the brain and also helps with memory and clear thinking. Green creates feelings of comfort. Blue makes us feel relaxed and calm. It is no wonder that best baby toys are brightly colored and explains why babies are usually happy when surrounded by these types of toys.

Physical Appeal: Have you ever wondered why babies touch so many things? One reason is their need to experience a variety of textures. The benefit of touching helps increase the amount of perception that the child experiences. When shopping for the best baby toys choose those toys that have different textures. Soft, rugged, ridged, bumpy, crinkly are just some of the few different textures you'll find in toy products today. Many toys combine mediums to allow for additional texture appeal. For example, a doll designed specifically for a baby may have an ultra soft body, a hard plastic teething ring in place of a hand, and rubbery feet so that an infant can feel several different sensations with a single toy. Allowing your child to explore with his sense of touch increases his tactile stimulation needed for that part of his cognitive development.

Auditory Appeal: Sound is said to be the sense that develops first in babies. As a result, they use this sense quite a bit when learning about their environment. The best baby toys offer a variety of sounds. To find the right toy, determine if the sound is clear. Make sure the sound is not too loud or too quiet. You will want the child to be able to hear the sound but not have it hurt his ears. Also, consider choosing toys with human voices. Toys that contain different words help increase the child's cognitive development and his vocabulary.

For the best baby toys, choose those that provide these essential components of learning. The top toys offer a variety of sound, visual and touch sensory projectiles. If you're looking for the best toys to offer your child, choose those that provide these sensory outlets. Kids toys should always have educational purposes as well as provide fun activities. With the selection of educational toys on the market today, it should not be difficult to find these types of toys.

Down-to-Earth Guide To Global Warming

Posted by Kids Learning Toys | 8:02 AM | 0 comments »

The comprehensive resource readers can look to for understanding why global warming happens and the ways it impacts our planet, and how we can work together to stop it. Kids and adults alike can help prevent the full consequences of global warming - we all have a part to play'. By Laurie David and Cambria Gordon
Customer Review: And there you have it - the fundamental argument is "this is just fact, no matter what the facts say".
A prior review states: "I also can't help noticing what feels like a coordinated attack based on a single technical error, as if that discredited the FUNDAMENTAL SCIENCE behind this book's premise, WHICH NO SERIOUS SCIENTISTS DOUBTS." (Caps added for emphasis.) The global-warming koolaid drinkers will just keep repeating the mantra that "man-made global warming is a proven fact" over and over again, and referring to the hundreds of highly-credentialed experts in the field who disagree with that fundamental premise as something OTHER THAN "serious scientists". I'm all in favor of being good stewards of our earth, but this kind of unsupported (and unsupportable) attack on the vast volume of evidence that isn't in lock-step with the agenda of the global warming theorists is pure propaganda. A scientifically legitimate book would consider both sides of the argument.
Customer Review: AGW Indoctrination for (Children of ) Dummies
Apparently, freedom of speech also means freedom to wantonly propagandize children. The chart is only one of many misrepresentations or omissions of the science of global warming which, since 1998, is now cooling. Children can accept truth, but this book doesn't present much of it. The earth's climate is presented as static and unchanging (except for us darn humans & those flatulent bovines), contrary to acknowledging climate change as the dynamic force that it is; moving the climate of the earth between ice ages and climate optimums. (Though this change is constantly trending either warmer or cooler, it proceeds at such a snails pace to us short lived humans that we tend think of it as being stable.) The book proceeds from the assumption that all that needs to be known about global warming already is, that it is a given that humans are overwhelming an otherwise perpetually stable global climate. It's the kid version of 'the debate is over' without saying so directly but carries on with the pervasive assumption of it being so, from the first page to the last. If, as an adult, you can't be bothered to educate yourself by learning the facts of AGW first to see & understand how lacking and slanted this little tome is and don't care if you passively contribute to retard development of critical thinking of the children in your life, buy them this book and help perpetuate the mainstream 'dumbing down' of the next generation. But, if you want your child to be at the head of the class in their understanding of the science in climate change (and your own as well), you might try "The Sky is Not Falling" as a more balanced presentation of global warming.
