Customer Review: Adorable Board Book!
My five year old son likes this book & tied a shoe w/in the first 5-10 minutes of reading it. I was never taught the "bunny ear" technique, but now that I got this it turns out that that's the one that works for him. It isn't nearly as disorienting as some have made it out to be, & is worth the $$$. I'm glad that I bought this!

Our experience with this book was not as glowing as other review I have read, but it has been insturmental in helping my daughter have a "safe" place to practice bow tying.
It's been proven in the past that mothers who are active during pregnancy and in the first period of their child's life tend to have more active kids. We all know that active kids are healthy kids since many diseases and obesity are the direct result of low levels of physical activity. Summer is just around the corner and with all the free time that comes with the summer holiday, Kids Activities Castle offers a few suggestions on how to keep our kids active and entertained during this time.
While most kids are interested in learning new sports or attending camps during the summer, some are more open to free play such as hide-and-seek or tag. Find out what your child's favorite activity is in order to keep them active throughout the summer and remember that the best activities are found outdoors. Here they can run, climb and jump more than inside the home as well as enjoy other kids activities such as rollerblading, biking, swimming, or simply building castles in the sand box. Here are some ideas for non-sport related activities that will keep kids busy and entertained during the summer.

- On a hot day ask your children to help you wash your vehicle. They will have a ton of fun playing with the water hose and you will end up with a clean car.
- Rain or shine, after dinner go for a walk (with or without the dog).
- Teach your kids how to play pirates or cowboys
- Other entertaining games: follow the leader, musical chairs or hopscotch.
- Go to a corn maze.
- Install a tent in the backyard and let them camp.
- Take them fishing.
Elementary School Kids | Activities for kids ages 6 to 12
- Host a karaoke or dance competition
- Fly kites
- Go rollerblading
- Start teaching your children about photography. Go hiking on a trail and let them take pictures of everything they find interesting. So what if the pictures are blurry? Perfection comes with practice.
- You will have active kids if you can get them involved in gardening since there is always something to do in the backyard during the summer: watering the plants, pulling weeds, mowing the lawn.
- Visit the local Nature Centre and learn the names of various plants and trees as you go along.
- Go to a "U Pick" farm and let your kids pick blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, or whatever fruits are in season. You can even have a contest as to who's going to fill up the basket faster! At the end of the day, ask your children to help you wash the fruits and if they have any energy left show them how to make a delicious desert using the freshly picked fruits.
